Welcome to the Community Site

As the NSDL community has matured, a network rich in expertise and potential has evolved.  All of you have successfully capitalized on this network, creating partnerships and building relationships among NSDL projects as well as with the greater STEM community.

While these connections are valuable, networks of networks also mean layers of complexity, resulting in lots of questions:  Where do I go to find out what others are doing at a greater depth?  Who do I talk to about a particular problem I’m having?  Who is doing similar work right now on their project?  What collaborative tools can we use to pool our resources on a particular task?

The NSDL Resource Center has created this site for the community to share ideas and to communicate with one another on a centralized platform.  Along with these conversations, this site is also a community workspace, leveraging web tools, both within NSDL and at large, that help us to collaborate with one another more effectively.

We invite you to participate fully in this site by:

1. Posting news announcements, accomplishments, notifications and requests for participation in the Community News space on the home page

2. Joining a forum discussion - browse existing forums and provide your feedback on documents, reports, opportunities for comment, or add a new topic yourself

3. Submitting a project update on your NSDL-funded grant

4. Creating and participating in a Group, for collaboration within your project

5. Using the search function on the site to locate specific postings, topics, or documents; using the Help page; or contact us if you would like specific help in contributing content (send an email to NSDL) specifying NSDL Community site in the subject line)

GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK

As a community site, your feedback is essential in creating a space that is useful and integrated into your workflow needs.  Please help us by joining our forum discussion.  Give us your ideas, creativity, needs, wants, and leadership in order to build a stronger community of practice.
